Solo Connects and Redway Runners join forces to celebrate Singles Awareness Day in Milton Keynes
Solo Connects and Redway Runners invite all single runners to a FREE run and social event for all abilities on Sunday 15th February 2026.
Solo Connects and Redway Runners are excited to announce a first-of-its-kind collaboration event on Sunday 15th February 2026, celebrating Singles Awareness Day with a fun, active and social gathering designed for singles to get outdoors, meet new people and build confidence in the fresh year.
Celebrating Singles Awareness Day
Singles Awareness Day, held annually on 15th February, offers a positive alternative to Valentine’s Day for people who are not currently in a romantic relationship. It highlights the joys of independence, the importance of friendships and self-appreciation, and celebrates the value of connections in all forms.
Singles Awareness Day isn’t about loneliness - it’s a celebration of independence, friendships, and self-love. The Solo Connects team knew that this was the perfect day to celebrate a collab with the largest running community in Milton Keynes. Singles will combine the benefits of physical wellbeing and an event designed to bring people together with a common interest.
It’s a positive and active way to meet new people, build confidence and enjoy the start of spring together.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Redway Runners for this event – a big part of the Solo Connects ethos is getting people out of their comfort zones and building up the confidence to try new things, so this is the perfect opportunity for singles to get out and give running a try. Singles Awareness Day is the perfect day to have a go at something new and see what it brings,” said Solo Connects co-founder Samantha Poole.
Sam’s co-founder, Rachel Allen adds: “There’s something for everyone with Redway Runners, so if you’re an experienced runner, you’ll enjoy the club run. I’m building up my running stamina again, so the Step-Up run is perfect for me, and Sam will enjoy a Ramble. Redway Runners has built up an incredible community across the City and we are excited to put on an event together.”
“Redway Runners has always been about community and inclusivity. Running brings people together in a way few other activities do. It’s social, healthy and welcoming to all abilities. We’re excited to open our club spirit to a new audience and celebrate Singles Awareness Day by helping everyone enjoy a run and make genuine local connections.” Martin Lawrence, Chair & Founder, Redway Runners
If you’re single in the City and would like to try out this collaborative event between Solo Connects and Redway Runners, please join us on Singles Awareness Day.
